This article is about Homicides committed by delusional patients are the object of a rich scientific literature, which puts the risk of such acts occurring into perspective when analyzing the offenders’ sociodemographic and clinical characteristics. Many scientists wondered if these homicides were caused by mechanisms that were underlying the peopl;s delusions. The mechanisms were interpretative, hallucinatory, and intuitive. Scientists ran tests on different people with different backgrounds. The results showed “that there were more diagnoses of chronic delusional disorder (30%). Persecutory delusion was constant (100%), and the other delusional themes were the “intimate relationship” type (50%)—jealousy, erotomanic—and the bodily type (40%).”

The information in the article affects many things. It affects the study because now scientists know what to focus on studying and know what is the cause for these people’s homicide. The information also affects the development of the study because yet again, the scientists know what to focus on more, which is the mechanisms causing the delusions. Lastly the information affects the study of forensics in general by being a step in the right direction and an accomplishment for the scientists.

Of course I'm going to have a critique on the article. Something I would critique is the wording of the article. To some viewers, the way the article is worded can be very confusing. Another thing I would critique is the amount of information about the tests that were done. I would include more information about the tests and what actually went on during these tests.
