Murderous tale fascinates New Zealand

In 1995 in New Zealand a gruesome murder took the country by storm, and it was soon what everybody was talking about. In 1995, David Bain was found guilty of killing his brother, two sisters and his parents in the family's Dunedin home. There was speculation in the family about the father and incest between the two daughters. Many people believe that the father was tierd of living and took everyones life and his own as well, but kept the son alive to pin the murder on him. The only string of evidence is a tiny blood spatter and the time a "gurgling" noise was heard coming from one of the sister's bodies.

There were three things that I liked about this review. FIrst of all it was a concise review that gave all of the important details. Another thing that I liked about this was that it was a relevant article about forensics. Thirdly, I liked the fact that it was grasping. It kept my attention all the way through the review.
Two things that I did not like about this review was that it did not say what the evidence did for the son's status of innocence or guilt. I also did not like that the link brought you to somewhere that you needed a password for access, therefore you could not actually read the article yourself.
One thing that was this reminded me of was the fact that people can do such a horrible thing to the people they care about.

I really enjoyed this review for many reasons. I first off, liked the fact that it was relevant to what we are currently learning in Forensics. I also liked the fact that the review was very informative despite how short it was. Thirdly, I thought that the succinctness of the review held my attention and was effective.
While the shortness of the review held my attention, it also took away from what could have been a very detailed review, because of how short it was, it was difficult for Matt to go into great detail. Another downfall with this review is that the link takes you to a random site where you need a password to enter, this takes away from the review.
I was a bit disturbed by this article because it reminded me of how people can do horrible things to their loved ones.

One thing I liked about the review is that it got right to the point and explained the basics of the article. It was also a good selection of articles, as we have studied toxicology and blood spatters in class. Thirdly, I thought the general topic of the article was fascinating. Two things I didn't like were that the review left out a lot of important details (for example, whether or not the son was guilty or innocent), and that the article was difficult to access, making the desired information virtually unobtainable. One thing I thought was interesting was that such a horrific event as the one described in the review happened not that long ago, making it still a fairly current and relevant topic.

The aspects of this review that were well presented were how he didn't put any useless information in, how he provided a possible alternative explanation to what happened, and how he emphasized that there was very little evidence to prove this explanation, even though it is what many people believe. This review could have been made better by perhaps looking over it before posting in order to see the spelling and grammar mistakes, and perhaps by going more in depth on the evidence used to convict David. From this review, I learned that people will believe something even if there is very little evidence.

Three things I liked:
1.I liked the description of the crime gave some insight into what happened.
2. I liked how this article was able to link to what we are learning in forensics.
3. I liked how it was a suspence building article...it made you want to keep reading

Two things I did not like:
1. I didnt like how the article never really ended. IT didnt tell you what happened to the son.
2. The link provided made it difficult to find the original article.

One thing I learned:
I learned that no matter if your family or not if someone really wants you dead they will murder you. This is a creepy article to say the least.

I like the fact that the review was short and included all the important details. It is also good that it relates to forensics. I found it hard to not be swept up in this review.
I want to comment on the fact that no further information was given of the case, such as if the evidence collected and observe helped or hurt the accused. I found it irritating that the link to the article had a password hindering me from reading the interesting article myself.
This brought me back to the reality that the world is twisted, and our minds are no exception. Terrible things can come to mind about the ones you live, it is how you deal with those thoughts that separates the sane from insane.

Both the article and the review were very well written. The first thing i enjoyed was the connection between the article and what we are currently learning about in forensics. Also i enjoyed how the article didnt mess around with fluff it was straight and to the point. Also the article was very well organized and kept the reader interested the whole time. However i did feel that article was a little to short. Also the link take you to some weird website.
