Study Finds ADHD Affects Motor Skills of Boys More Than Girls

New research shows that ADHA affects boys’ motor skills more than girls. Examining age-related improvement of motor skills in children with and without ADHD, researchers from the Kennedy Krieger Institute found that girls with ADHD and their typically developing peers were more likely to be able to control their movements compared to boys with ADHD. MRI studies shows that boys with ADHD have decreased activities in the brain. E. Mark Mahone, Ph.D., ABPP said that "These findings suggest that sex-related differences in children with ADHD extend beyond symptom presentation to development of motor control". The female brain matures earlier than the male brain.

I think Michelle did a good job by explaining about ADHD and how if affects boys and girls differently. She also got the main points across. What i think she could have done better was say how this relates to forensics and put more detail so the reader can better understand the purpose of the article.

I found that Michelle did a very nice job on her current event. She explained the topic well and made good points. I could see how this relates to forensic but maybe a little more explaining would help.

This was a well written summary of the article. Even though it had a large amount of information of the fact that ADHD affects males than do females, there could have been more information on ADHA itself. Although great job.

michelle explained the case well, especially considering it is on an interesting and noteworthy topic. It was exciting to learn that boys have more of struggle with motor skills than girls when they have ADHD. She did a good job of being informative on the subject. The article could have been a bit longer than it is, and maybe related a bit more to the topic of forensic science. But nonetheless, it was an interesting read.
